Cordyceps mushrooms are becoming more popular in North America as more research comes out on their pharmacological activity. At this time North American Cordyceps Cultivation is focused on mycelium production for powders and capsules. There is currently a demand for Cordyceps Fruit bodies in North America. As more individuals begin to source more of their products locally there will be a demand for locally grown Cordyceps.
Over the past 2 years, William has been working successfully on Developing East Coast Cordyceps militaris strains for Commercial Cultivation. Interestingly enough, you don’t need insects to grow cordyceps, they will grow on common wastes, producing a valuable product. Cordyceps farms in Southern Asia have proven this to be a successful/sustainable venture. With simple understanding anyone can grow Cordyceps, Cordyceps militaris farms will provide communities with another Ecologically Regenerative Sustainable Micro Industry.
